Labs, innovation gateways, catapults, design spaces and accelerators have become a popular way for companies to innovate and re-innovate their business models, product markets, and networks. They come in many guises, but all are new forms of open collaboration. Here businesses can experiment – forming external relationships in order to co-create with others, enlisting expertise and capabilities outside the company. Open labs allow cross-fertilisation from other business models and technologies, opportunities for cost saving and minimising the chance of making expensive mistakes.
But this new landscape, although rich with possibility, is prone to new vulnerabilities.
Lab of Labs offers a platform enabling businesses and others to understand the pros and cons of various approaches to open labs. We’re getting under the skin of what works and why.
Join Big Innovation Centre and its partners at Visa Europe Collab, the innovation hub for Visa Europe, to find more about the Big Innovation Centre Lab of Labs: the Toolkit, open lab visits and the international conference planned for the coming year. You will also see Visa’s lab in full swing.
