"How we innovate and how we generate our next-generation products and capabilities is a challenge. This is why BAE Systems supports programmes such as the Big Innovation Centre. We understand that we can all benefit from innovating together. By drawing on prior investment, experience and knowledge across companies we can all achieve a better outcome for our customers.

BAE Systems invests over £1.3bn a year in the UK innovating for the future. This includes £50m a year spent working with UK schools and universities to encourage people into STEM skills and training and £270m in research and technology. Everyone has the same challenge: we all would like to spend more, but at the same time do things more efficiently. Working closely with people outside the business, increasing knowledge without increasing the cost base, is highly beneficial.

Being part of the Big Innovation Centre allows BAE Systems to share its learning in delivering innovation and be involved in key debates that could have significant impact on UK policy moving forward.
